As an HPC Test Automation Engineer, you will play a critical role in empowering our research teams by ensuring seamless HPC performance, developing high-quality test scripts, and driving iterative improvements in system performance.
Key Responsibilities:
As an HPC Test Automation Engineer, you will:
- Install, configure, and maintain high-performance computing (HPC) resources in the Advanced Media Lab
- Develop and deploy automated test scripts to support simulation environments and research projects
- Monitor HPC resource performance and ensure system reliability through proactive maintenance
- Manage regression test environments, develop comprehensive test plans, and generate detailed system test reports
- Collaborate with researchers to align system functionality with project needs and address technical challenges
- Continuously refine and optimize test scripts, frameworks, and system baselines to improve efficiency
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Proficiency in administering both Windows and Linux platforms
- Hands-on experience with shell scripting and Python programming/scripting
- Knowledge of high-performance computing (HPC) frameworks for simulation environments
- Familiarity with version control systems like GitLab or GitHub
- Experience in installing and configuring Linux distributions
- Experience managing HPC systems such as Slurm or HTCondor
- Basic understanding of image and video coding formats and software libraries
- Experience with building systems such as CMake
- Hands-on experience with FFmpeg, x264, or x265 software libraries for video encoding
- Proficiency in C/C programming, including C 11 or later, and the Standard Template Library (STL)
