Helper

Main Objective of Job:

Support supervisors to accomplish production, inventory control, maintenance of equipment or administrative needs along with operation of specific machines to provide services.

Never to attempt a task unless you have been properly trained on the proper operation, emergency shutdown procedures and specific personal and environmental hazards of the piece of equipment involved in the task.

Education/ Qualification:

High school or technical School education with 1 year experience.

• Able to help find safer and better ways to accomplish tasks and communicate these to supervisors
• Mechanically inclined to operate simple systems or equipment

JOB DESCRIPTION

Duties, Responsibilities & Key tasks:

• Supervisors will delegate daily work schedules to Helpers/ Manufacturing Support employee
• May involve operation of simple but potentially harmful to people or the environment type of machines including but not limited to;

Pipe brush machines Pipe de-denting machines

Pipe straightening machines Floor sweepers’

Manual hand tools Electric hand tools

Chop saws Drift mandrels

Buck on Units Phosphate Equipment

Hydrostatic Pressure Testing Equipment

Painting of couplings and other asset equipment

Swage and Stress Relief Equipment

Any other duties as assigned.

Other type machines or equipment as required

Never to attempt a task unless you have been properly trained and you are either mentored or completely comfortable performing the job asked to perform
To ask for help if an object is to heavy to handle
To ask for help if you are not completely sure of the instructions to perform the task
Always perform task to the highest quality standards to ensure Customer satisfaction
Support production or yard supervisors to properly complete the job or task
Any other duties as assigned

Essential functions:

This position is exposed to the following work environment factors and must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation:

• See, Hear, Stand for extended periods of time, kneel, crouch, stoop, bend, crawl, climb stairs, heavy lifting. Load, unload connections, handling equipment and accessories. Use hands to handle, grasp, hold equipment
• Be able occasionally physically carry up to 100 lbs.
• Be able to work in hot, cold, snow, rain work environment
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, see and hear.
