We are looking for someone with at least 5 years of experience working in a warehouse. You must have great communication skills and be completely capable of working independently and working well with others when needed. Being able to drive power equipment and lift over 50lbs is a daily requirement of this position. We are looking for a person who wants to stay with us LONG TERM not just use this position as a place holder until their next opportunity comes.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate warehouse staff to ensure optimal performance and adherence to safety protocols.
- Oversee shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accuracy in order fulfillment and inventory management.
- Implement and maintain warehouse management systems to streamline operations.
- Conduct regular training sessions for team members on OSHA regulations, materials handling, and equipment operation.
- Utilize forklift operation for the movement of goods as necessary.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance efficiency within the warehouse.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety standards at all times.
- Collaborate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to ensure seamless distribution operations.
Experience
- Proven experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment is essential.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Demonstrated experience in team management, fostering a collaborative work atmosphere.
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes, as well as materials handling best practices.
- Proficient in using warehouse management systems and related software applications.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
- Experience with process improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency.
