QC Measurement Engineer

Position Summary

We are looking for a Process Engineer to support implementation and continuous improvement of optical fiber measurement processes in a large-scale manufacturing environment.

EDUCATION And EXPERIENCE

• Advanced degree (BS or MS) in Optics, Physics, or related engineering field or equivalent work experience
  
  

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: (Preferred qualifications, certifications, and/or licenses)

• 2 years technical experience in a laboratory, research or manufacturing environment
• Optical Fiber Manufacturing or testing experience is a plus
• Python Knowledge
• Experience integrating mechanical, electrical and optical equipment to enable automation
• Experience with advanced data analysis, databases, and creating custom code
  
  

Essential Responsibilities

• Support the measurement processes for optical fiber production.
• Collaborate with R&D and internal stakeholders to develop new product measurements.
• Develop and perform calibrations for in-house test equipment.
• Transfer development processes to production with work instructions and related documents and training.
• Experimentation and Data Analysis for ongoing product/process improvement
• Hands on troubleshooting for test and measurement equipment.
• Be a strong team player with openness and willingness to contribute toward group goals and achievements.
• Report and Present on development activities.
