What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Process Engineer position at OG?
Outlook Group is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to be part of our team. The ideal candidate would have engineering and manufacturing experience in the printing and/or packaging industry. This is an Engineering position, reporting to the Director of Operations and key to helping Outlook Group win in the marketplace via innovation and service excellence.
Outlook Group is a printer and converter of labels, flexible packaging and folding cartons. Our integrated packaging solutions offer diverse, innovative and sustainable packaging capabilities. Our multiple facilities total nearly 500,000 square feet of certified manufacturing, warehouse, fulfillment and R&D space.
Responsibilities:
- Implements maintenance and engineering strategies to assure operational reliability consistent with the needs of the operational facility and to ensure the maximum availability and longevity of assets.
- Collaborates with cross functional leaders to implement capital investment projects to drive operational excellence, including designing, developing, and managing capital projects.
- A resource for managing maintenance staff and costs, developing maintenance technicians, maintaining facilities, contractor performed maintenance, regular and preventive maintenance functions of all plant equipment and new equipment installations.
- Responsible for working with internal and external resources to design, build, and/or retrofit existing equipment.
- Planning and overseeing the layout of equipment and production facility. Conducting studies in operations to maximize workflow and spatial utilization.
- Assisting the plant to optimize production capabilities. Providing production management experience and/or technical support to resolve equipment reliability issues.
- Interacting with key stakeholders to develop and execute continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence.
- Assist with the review, development and implementation of safety policies, work instructions and SOP’s.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering preferred.
- Related experience including experience in project engineering, facility engineering, maintenance, and project management.
- Extensive knowledge in technical issues of engineering, maintenance and manufacturing problems.
- Knowledge of day to day and strategic issues, operational requirements in a manufacturing facility.
- Experience in methods, accepted practices, considerations and regulatory requirements associated with safety and protection of workers, the environment, and facility.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Relevant experience with AutoCAD, SOLIDWORKS, MS Suite, ERP systems and CMMS software.
