The Front Desk Staff is the lead customer service contact for all members, guests and prospects; you create the “First Impression.” The Front Desk Staff must exhibit the highest level of professionalism and maintain a positive attitude, always upholding the Club’s core values: Integrity, Caring, Creativity, Passion and Excellence.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
*
*
Personal Responsibilities:
- Arrive to work on time and work scheduled hours
- Record hours worked, through club payroll system
- Wear proper uniform
*
*
Front Desk Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work a minimum of 3 shifts per week or 8 hours.
- Greet and check in all members and guests
- Manage and distribute towels
- Sell and ring in all products and services
- Accept & process payments
- Answer and direct all incoming phone calls professionally
- Maintain safe environment and report all safety issues and concerns immediately
- Enforce rules and policies at all times
- Stay current on all club activities, events and services, and act as information center
- Act as liaison between members and sales staff
- Communicate with management regarding any issues that arise
- Field all member complaints and concerns
- Perform opening and closing procedures for the club as shift requires
- Keep Front Desk area clean, neat, and orderly
- Receive & verify deliveries
- Clean all highly touched areas and remind members to wear masks and abide by our Covid guidelines.
- Carry out other duties as assigned by managers

Club-Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Check everyone member and guest in on Club Automation
- Collect all fees necessary at the Front Desk
- Do all assigned Daily Tasks

Required Certifications & Attendance:
- Maintain current American Red Cross certification in adult/child/infant CPR/AED, including annual refresher course
- Attend All-Call meetings, Front Desk Department meetings, and one-on-one meetings

Recommended Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong Computer Skills
- Highly motivated and energetic
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task
- An understanding of health club operations
- Team player, willing to cover or trade shifts when possible

Hours:
The Front Desk Staff position is a part-time, non-exempt position.
As a non-exempt employee, the Front Desk Staff shall not exceed 40 hours per week (in all departments combined) without prior written permission from the Front Desk Manager.

I have read the job description for the position of Front Desk Staff and I agree that I can fulfill the duties outlined herein and understand that I will be rated on the responsibilities and expectations of this job description. I further agree that I will adhere to the behaviors in the CAC Values Blueprint. I further agree that CAC is an “At Will” employer. My employment and compensation are terminable at will, are for no definite period, and my employment and compensation may be terminated by CAC (employer) at any time and for any reason whatsoever, with or without good cause at the option of either CAC or myself. No implied, oral or written agreements contrary to the express language of this agreement are valid unless they are in writing and signed by the President of the Company. This agreement takes the place of all prior and contemporaneous agreements, representations, and understandings between me and CAC.
