The Jefferson in Washington D.C. is currently recruiting for a Bartender to join our highly acclaimed and award winning Food & Beverage Team in Quill Bar.
The Jefferson, Washington D.C. has been named one of the top hotels in Washington, D.C. and presents this exciting opportunity for someone who is interested in growing within a setting that finds delight in the details that take our guests experience beyond expectation.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve an extensive selection of wines and various cocktails adhering to the high quality standards of the Quill Bar.
- Must have a great depth of knowledge of drink recipes, be able to mix drinks accurately, quickly, and without waste.
- Maintain required bar supplies and ensure the bar and lounge area remains clean and inviting for customers.
- Other duties include taking orders, serving food and beverage items while demonstrating exceptional knowledge of all product selections offered.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a bartender preferably in an upscale environment.
- Good knowledge of wines with experience in Mixology and preparation of classic cocktails.
- Polished, professional appearance and welcoming, approachable demeanor.
- Alcohol Awareness Certification.
- This position requires scheduling flexibility to include working nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
