Ogden is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant Football Coach to support the high school football program. The Assistant Coach will work closely with the Head Coach to ensure student-athletes are given the best opportunities to succeed on and off the field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Coach in organizing and conducting practices, training sessions, and game preparations.
- Provide individual instruction and feedback to players to improve their skills, technique, and performance.
- Help with game day responsibilities, including strategy development, player warm-ups, and sideline management.
- Promote good sportsmanship, teamwork, and discipline within the football program.
- Assist in maintaining a safe and productive practice environment.
- Support team-building activities, including fundraising, community events, and team bonding sessions.
- Work with the athletic director to manage equipment, uniforms, and other logistical needs.
- Maintain open communication with players, parents, and staff about team progress, player development, and any issues that may arise.
- Assist in recruiting new players and increasing the visibility of the program within the community.
Qualifications:
- Previous playing or coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level is preferred.
- Knowledge of football strategies, rules, and techniques.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, coaches, and parents.
- Ability to motivate and inspire young athletes.
- Strong work ethic and passion for football and student-athlete development.
