What are the responsibilities and job description for the Emergency Room RN position at Ogden Regional Medical Center?

As an Emergency Room RN, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to patients of all ages, from minor injuries to acutely or critically ill individuals.
Responsibilities:
- Triage, assess, and treat patients of all ages
- Manage multiple cases simultaneously, providing general nursing care and prioritizing needs continually
- Act in a composed and professional manner, especially under pressure
- Provide follow-up care instructions to patients and make necessary referrals
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient charts
- Coordinate functions with physicians and other departments of the hospital, while being patient-focused and safety-aware at all times
Requirements:
- Current Utah nursing license in good standing
- Previous working experience in the ER as a registered nurse
- Associate's Degree in nursing required, bachelor's preferred
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification
- American Red Cross of American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certified (ACLS) within six months of hire
- TNCC required within six (6) months of start date
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
- NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date
- PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) preferred
