Job Title: Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Job Summary:
Oghosa Home Care & Transportation Services is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals for the role of Direct Support Professional (DSP). This is a part-time position that involves providing homecare services and transportation to individuals with disabilities. In this role, you will help clients maintain independence and live comfortably by assisting with daily activities and transporting them to doctor’s appointments, activities, errands, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- "Sign language proficiency is required for this position to effectively communicate with clients who are deaf or hard of hearing."
- "Applicants must have the ability to use sign language to assist in daily interactions and ensure clear communication with all clients."
- Provide personal care and assist with daily activities
- Support clients with meal preparation and medication reminders
- Offer companionship and emotional support
- Perform light housekeeping duties as needed
- Provide transportation to and from doctor’s appointments, activities, errands, etc.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of services provided
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Medication Certifications 1 & 2 (Training provided)
- Reliable transportation
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Ability to provide references
- Strong communication skills with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
Certifications & Training:
- CPR/First Aid certification is required. If you do not have this certification, we offer a class for a fee of $60.
- All necessary training will be provided to help you succeed in the role!

- CPR/First Aid Certification (If you do not have it, we will schedule training)

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
