Summary/Objective
The Panel Shop Intern supports the electrical panel assembly team by assisting with basic wiring tasks, tool setup, and parts preparation. This position is intended to provide hands-on experience in electrical control panel assembly and wiring practices in a manufacturing environment.
Essential Functions

- Experience in industrial electrical panel building /production /fabrication
- Ability to read standard electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and bills of material
- Verify accuracy of design, manufacturing, and as-built documentation
- Experience constructing, wiring, and troubleshooting control panels
- Mounting and wiring of electrical components i.e., transformers, relays, plc, motor protectors
- Use of basic hand tools
- Some lifting, bending and long-term standing required
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Work collaboratively with electrical design and engineering to ensure accuracy of work
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal a plus
- Available to work overtime as needed
Note: This is a safety-sensitive position as defined by the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient Protection Act (“The Unity Bill”).

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This position operates in a non-temperature-controlled shop environment with exposure to noise, dust, and metal particles. PPE such as hearing protection, safety glasses, and safety boots are required.
Physical Demands
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
- Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds
- Use of ladders and hand tools
- Visual requirements include close vision and color distinction for wire identification
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position Monday–Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Some overtime is required as needed.
Travel
No travel is required for this position.
Education and Experience
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a technical program in electrical technology, electronics, industrial maintenance, or a related field
- Electrical panel assembly and manufacturing
- Previous experience with hand tools or shop work a plus.
