Focused primarily on the State of Pennsylvania, the Sales Manager is responsible for the direction and facilitation of identifying strategies to increase top line revenue performance for the market segment(s) assigned while meeting weekly sales call activity goals and becoming the resident expert as it relates to the competition and market conditions of their assigned market segment(s). Applicant may work remotely.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Develop strategies and initiatives for increasing Sales to specific markets on an annual basics.
- Identifying and closing new business opportunities
- Solicit new and existing accounts to meet and exceed revenue goals through telephone prospecting, outside sales calls, site inspections and written communications
- Negotiate terms and conditions with clients for assigned market segment(s)
- Maximize revenue by selling all facets of the property, both orally and in written form to previous, current and potential clients.
- Handle account details so that all pertinent aspects of solicitation and closing are complete and documented; track all proactive, self-initiated, daily contact to potential clients via in-person visits, telephone calls, and written correspondence in accordance with company standards and expectations.
- Coordinate various departments’ participation in servicing accounts.
- Develop and conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients.
- Prepare information for, meet with and entertain clients as deemed appropriate by potential business from that account.
- Represent the hotel in all appropriate hospitality and community networking events.
- Communicate both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to all departments in the hotel to ensure high quality of service to customers.
