Position SummaryOur Orange County office has an opportunity for an experienced litigation attorney to join the firm’s expanding Employment Law Practice. The Employment Counsel will be expected to perform all the duties of a traditional law firm attorney, with an emphasis on counseling clients on employment-law-related matters. Duties include, but are not limited to, performing legal research, drafting of legal memoranda, motions, and pleadings, attending court conferences, handling discovery-related activities and investigations, drafting of position statements and dispositive motions, and counseling clients on employment-law-related matters. The right candidate will have a passion for employment law, strong analytical and writing skills, and will add their enthusiasm to our affable, team-oriented environment.RequirementsJuris Doctor. Qualified candidates must be and remain licensed to practice law and in good standing. During employment, must meet requirements for continuing licensure for law practice.7 or more years of experience with general or commercial litigation defense or insurance defense.Excellent analytical, writing, and editing skills are required.Litigation experience in California is not a requirement; qualified candidates must be licensed to practice in CA but can have the majority of their experience from another state.BenefitsIn accordance with California’s amended labor code as stated in Senate Bill 1162, the expected salary range for this California position is between $245,000 and $270,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law.
