We have the opportunity for an experienced Hardware Specialist to join the firm’s expanding Technology department in our Greenville, SC administrative office. The Hardware Specialist is responsible for management of all hardware maintenance issues, returns, and repairs of all laptops and desktops for the entire firm and life-cycle management of all leased computer equipment.

We have the opportunity for an experienced Hardware Specialist to join the firm’s expanding Technology department in our Greenville, SC administrative office. The Hardware Specialist is responsible for management of all hardware maintenance issues, returns, and repairs of all laptops and desktops for the entire firm and life-cycle management of all leased computer equipment.
Essential Functions
- Provisions equipment for new users, including installation of base operation system image and user profiles.
- Assists with hardware lease refresh for remote offices.
- Develops a strong working relationship with Desktop Management team in order to stay current on all processes related to imaging and provisioning and communicates relevant issues as they arise.
- Maintains good vendor relations and certifications to ensure self-maintainer status for hardware repairs.
- Assists users with hardware and accessory purchases.
- Project manages asset disposition, including removal of data from hard drives and updates of asset information within AssetCloud.
- Assists with shipping and receiving duties as needed.
- Assists with local site support duties as needed.
- Coordinates with leasing companies to place orders where appropriate.
- Interfaces with all departments and resolves problems and issues related to equipment maintenance requests and deliveries.
- Works with asset management software.
- Manages computer equipment repair including fault diagnosis and warranty returns.
- Contributes to the good of the IT Department and the entire firm.
- The following are some of the most common technologies used in the offices that would be supported by the Procurement HW Maintenance Specialist:
- PC Hardware: Dell and Lenovo laptops and desktops
- PC Software: Windows 11, MS Office 365, Absolute DDS, MS Teams
- Technical certifications with Lenovo and Dell required
- College degree with a business and technical orientation preferred and three or more years of experience required
- Experience with asset management and tracking
- Project Management experience preferred
- Experience with computer hardware, particularly laptop and desktop systems and related parts and accessories
- Experience diagnosing computer hardware problems
- Experience handling warranty repairs and equipment returns
- Experience with computer equipment leasing
- Superior customer service/interpersonal skills
- Superior troubleshooting skills
- Superior organizational and prioritizing skills
- Ability to work as a member of a team or independently; ability to self-govern with common sense judgment
- Expert ability to communicate clearly and concisely with Firm employees, clients and vendors
- Excellent sense of urgency and the ability to triage incidents, problems, tasks, and projects quickly
- Strong sense of duty and ownership in job performance for the betterment of the enterprise
- Law Firm or Legal Department experience preferred
