Position Summary
Ogletree’s Washington, DC office has an opportunity for a Workplace Safety Attorney to join a national labor and employment firm. This is a unique opportunity to assist our senior attorneys and shareholders on matters involving the Mine Safety and Health Act, the Occupational and Safety Health Act, and other federal labor and employment laws. This attorney will assume a major role in litigation with extensive contact with client representatives and opposing counsel.
The right candidate will have a passion for workplace safety law, strong analytical and writing skills, and an ability to relate to and inspire confidence with sophisticated business clients. In accordance with the Wage Transparency Omnibus Amendment Act, the expected salary range for this DC position is between $195,000 and $237,500.

Requirements
- Juris Doctor. Qualified candidates must be and remain licensed to practice law and in good standing in the state of employment. During employment, must meet requirements for continuing licensure for law practice
- Candidates must possess at least 5 years of litigation experience, MSHA/OSHA experience is preferred, but not required.
- Outstanding academic credentials (top 20% of law school class preferred)
- Excellent analytical and writing skills are required.
- Ability to travel as needed.
- We expect this attorney to provide excellent written and analytical work and to contribute to a respectful, collegial office environment.
