Keep Er Movin’—2nd shift Forklift Operator/Material Handler

5:00pm to 3:30am.

Starting Pay: $23.00 per hour

90-, 180-, and 270-day probationary periods with a possible .50 pay increase at the end of each probationary period. $2,000 sign on bonus after successful reviews.

You do this using your forklift operating abilities to supply material to production lines, store finished goods, stage orders, and load/unload trucks.

We call you our “Forklift Operator,” yet your responsibilities go far beyond driving around all day. We demand an organized warehouse, maintained inventories, stock rotation, overall cleanliness, and strong team involvement. Most vital of all, you perform your duties in the safest, most efficient way possible.

Nothing is more important than safety. Identifying hazards for people and traffic, observing various environments, understanding forklift performance ... it’s all critical to a successful, safe operation. You’ll earn your OSHA license with us, and then you’ll be relied upon by the team for everything from continuously supplying product to moving finished goods into trucks.

What we like about YOU

• You have at least 2 years of experience operating material handling equipment in a warehouse facility
• You can inspect and maintain forklift equipment
• You can use technology, specifically our scanning system, to maintain warehouse inventories
• You are comfortable with OSHA regulations on forklift safety
• You understand that logistics and warehouse functions ensure optimal operation
• You enjoy preparing product for shipment, from picking to loading
• You can recommend warehouse efficiency improvements
• You can comply with company policies and procedures, GMP’s, safety and quality standards, food safety measures, OSHA, and other safety regulations
• You like math
• You are a team player and can communicate well, both written and verbal
• You can make good decisions under pressure
• You can work with minimal supervision
• You are age 18 or older
• You have a high school diploma
• You may have food industry experience (not required)
• You are comfortable in a cold working environment
• You can lift up to 50 pounds
• You can pass a pre-employment screening for drugs that could negatively affect job performance
