Job Summary: The Program Manager of the Ohana Days is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the program, which focuses on vocational preparation, independent readiness, daily living skills, intentional motor skills, supports letterboard communication, provides life coaching, and higher education opportunities for adults. The Program Manager will ensure the delivery of high-quality services, develop and implement program strategies, and maintain compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and oversee the Adult Day Program, ensuring it meets the needs of participants and aligns with the organization's mission and goals.
  • Provide leadership and supervision to program staff, including hiring, training, and performance management of aides and other relevant team members.
  • Create programming plans, calendars, and company updates using PowerPoint to be used as both internal and client-facing documents. 
  • Create and maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all participants.
  • Collaborate with Occupational Therapy, Intentional Motor, and Spellers Method Practitioners to ensure highest quality program alignment 
  • Develop and implement individualized plans for participants, focusing on vocational preparation, independent readiness, intentional motor skills, and higher education opportunities.
  • Collaborate with community partners, educational institutions, and vocational training providers to enhance program offerings and opportunities for participants.
  • Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, making adjustments as needed to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Manage program budget, including monitoring expenses and ensuring compliance of SDP and any other needed programs.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, including participant progress, program outcomes, and reports.
  • Work with Finance and Operations Director and other key members of the leadership team to build and manage budgets
  • Communicate regularly with participants, families, and stakeholders to provide updates and gather feedback.
  • Help develop and manage communication and goal progress support for families.
  • Collaborate with development of retail program to aide in vocational work and increase sales and awareness to the location.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, education, rehabilitation, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Strong background in PowerPoint, Google Slides, or a comparable presentation software
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management, preferably in an adult day program or similar setting.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with experience managing a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with participants, families, staff, and community partners.
  • Knowledge of vocational preparation, independent living skills, intentional motor skills, and higher education opportunities for adults.
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized plans for participants.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with budget management and securing funding through grants and other sources. Learn and understand the SDP process with the state of California.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and best practices in adult day programs.


Working Conditions:

  • This position may require occasional evening and weekend work.
  • The Program Manager will work in an office and partial community setting, with regular interaction with program participants and staff.


Salary : $65,000 - $85,000
