RBT Certification in good standing required
Pay: $22-$30/hour
Provide behavioral support to neurodiverse children, ages 2-7 in a home or daycare/preschool setting. Work on emotional regulation, social skills, communication, play, and cognitive skills using Natural Environment Training (NET approach). Coach and empower parents and school staff on how to implement behavioral tactics to reduce maladaptive behaviors and improve adaptive skills. We use a user-friendly electronic scheduling and data collection system. We provide additional training and paid workshop opportunities during employment. Variety of stimulating therapy materials provided, company I Pad (for data collection), and supervision support.
This is a great opportunity to broaden your skills while working under the auspices of a BCBA-D and a Clinical Psychologist with over 30 years of experience in the field of behavioral treatment and diagnosis of Autism. Students are strongly encouraged to apply – you will receive excellent training, BCBA supervision and mentorship! Many of our clinical staff have applied their experience at Ohana Mua as a stepping stone to graduate school and careers in behavior analysis, special education, teaching, mental health or related field. Clinical staff who perform well in this position may request letters of recommendation to graduate schools, and apply for practicum, internships, and postdoctoral residency experiences overseen by Doctor level professionals at our agency. Required Qualifications:
- RBT Certification in good standing is required to begin clinical work with clients (we can provide paid trainings to selected applicants to support you with obtaining your RBT certification; trainings are paid at $14 per hour)
- CPR/1st Aid certified (training can be arranged through the company)
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required
- Ability to pass background checks and provide/obtain TB immunization testing
- Knowledge and experience with DTT, NET, VB is preferred
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Ability to exercise independent critical judgment
- Ability to work well independently and as a team
- Ability to utilize an electronic data collection
- Must be energetic, compassionate and passionate about helping children reach their fullest potential
- Punctuality and dependability is a MUST
- Must have reliable transportation to get to work location
