The Position:
We're looking for a passionate Regional Clinical Educator to join our home health team. This position plans, develops, evaluates, and coordinates a comprehensive Home Health Clinical Orientation and Education program that is aligned with evidence-based home health standards of practice. Performs job duties in accordance with Ohana Pacific Health (OPH) Mission, Vision, Core Values and Core Behaviors. Other responsibilities include:
- Plans, develops, evaluates, and coordinates a comprehensive Home Health Clinical Orientation and Education program to all OPH Home Health branches that is aligned with evidence-based home health standards of practice, and compliant with Federal and State regulations and Accrediting Body standards. Maintains training and education records. Establishes a Clinical Orientation that is consistent, predictable, individualized and goal oriented. Identifies, plans and schedules
- Plans, develops, and coordinates a skills checklist of critical clinical skills in all branches of home health including skills that clinicians must demonstrate proficiency in before being permitted to practice independently, as well as high- technology care such as a ventilator, intravenous drug therapy, chemotherapy, pain management or tube feedings that may need a competency review after orientation.
- Ensures all new clinical staff can fulfill minimum expectations for safe and effective performance in accordance with home health standards of practice prior to practicing independently.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Master’s Degree in Nursing, Business or Healthcare Administration or related field is preferred
- Five years nursing experience, including two years in Medicare certified home health
- Certification in OASIS and/or Home Health Case Management is preferred
- Current Registered Nursing License in the State of Hawaii
- BLS Certification.
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing home health services desired.
