The Position:
We're looking for an experienced and passionate Regional Nurse Consultant to serve as an internal resource to nursing home operations regarding survey readiness, plans of correction, and dispute resolution. This position provides consultation to nursing and health care providers within Ohana Pacific Health to improve nursing and other standards of nursing practice. Responsibilities include:
- Monitor changes in federal/state nursing home regulations and survey requirements that affect OPH nursing home.
- Serves as analyst of trends affecting OPH nursing home survey outcomes as required.
- Recommends quality assurance standards and protocols, program criteria, and policies for OPH communities.
- Provides recommendation and guidance in the development of policies and standards of nursing practice for new programs and suggest revisions on nursing procedures and practices to meet the changing needs of nursing regulations and CMS guidelines.
Requirements:
- Minimum of Ten (10) years professional nursing experience.
- Five (5) years experience as a nurse manager and five (5) years experience with State and Federal nursing home surveys, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Hawaii required.
