The Position:
We're looking for a passionate Shift Supervisor responsible for the supervision of nursing team and who oversees the operation of a nursing unit and the daily delivery of care to residents. Keeps Director of Nursing informed of both progress and potential problems. Coordinates unit admissions, discharges, and transfers.
- Meets nursing operational standards by contributing information to productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; and identifying system improvements.
- Identifies guest service requirements by establishing personal rapport with patients and other persons in a position to understand service requirements.
- Assist charge nurses when needed to manage work assignments if overloaded by emergencies or during high volume time.
- Maintains a cooperative relationship among health care teams by communicating information; responding to requests; building rapport; participating in team problem-solving methods.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Hawaii required.
- One (1) year professional nursing experience required; experience in geriatrics and current nursing standards of practice preferred; management experience preferred.
- Current and valid 2 Step TB clearance
- First Aid and CPR .
