Hale Makua Health Services is a Maui based non-profit that improves the well-being of those in its care through compassionate personalized health services. We are devoted to helping Maui's Elders live their best lives. Hale Makua's Kahului location is a 254-bed nursing facility.
The Position:
We're looking for a passionate Utility Worker to help clean and beautify our nursing homes to ensure our residents can live in a clean, healthy and hygienic setting.
- Perform heavy housekeeping tasks not routinely assigned to Housekeepers.
- Responsible for heavy cleaning and maintaining walls, windows, etc.
- Assist with minor maintenance functions.
- Follows all sanitary and safety rules and regulations. Exercises proper body mechanics in the performance of duties. Perform regular housekeeping tasks as assigned and other related duties as required.
Requirements:
- Six months of related experience
- Five years of Housekeeping or Janitorial experience in health care or commercial setting preferred.
- Current and valid 2-step TB clearance and health review (can be done in-house).
