Hale Makua Health Services is a Maui based non-profit that improves the well-being of those in its care through compassionate personalized health services. We are devoted to helping Maui's Elders live their best lives. Hale Makua's Wailuku location is a 90-bed nursing facility.
The Position:
We're looking for a passionate Utilization Review Assistant who will support the Resident Assessment Coordinator and track resident assessment schedules.
- Prepares and distributes MDS, OBRA, and PPS assessment and completion schedules in collaboration with Resident Assessment Coordinator.
- Creates new record for MDS assessments in MDS database as scheduled.
- Maintains and updates resident level of care and payer changes in financial database as directed. Provides electronic notification of changes to distribution group.
- Assists in preparing weekly staffing schedule and contacts replacement staff as directed.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of Minimum Data Set (MDS) process in long-term care admissions or nursing setting is preferred.
- Current and valid 2 Step TB clearance and health review (can be done in-house).
