What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receptionist/Kennel Tech position at Ohana Pet Resort, Lakeside Pet Spa?
Receptionist / Pet Care Technician needed for shared position at both Ohana Pet Resort and Lakeside Pet Spa (about 15 mins apart).
We are looking for applicants that thoroughly enjoy animals as well as a high paced work environment. We are willing to train the right candidate. This position will also require frequent interaction with clients.
Must be available on Weekends & Holidays, have a passion for animals, a positive attitude, great communication skills, and a flexible schedule. Evenings, weekends and holidays required. Entry level with advancement opportunities.
REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:
- Scheduling experience a plus
- Must be 16 or older
- Comfortable using computer and app based software
- Pass Criminal background check
- Must have reliable transportation
- Experience with animals is necessary
- Must work holidays, evenings, school breaks, and weekends
- Email and phone communication skills Customer service skills
- Self starting and hard working
- Ability to be on your feet throughout a shift.
- Ability to take direction from management.
- Must be a team player.
- Must be comfortable around dogs of all sizes and temperaments.
- Lift 40 lbs to waist height
- Frequent standing, bending, walking, lifting, carrying, and reaching
- Weekend and holiday availability is a must.
- Indoor and outdoor time
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Keeping pets safe and well cared for
- Scheduling pets for grooming by size and service
- Checking pets in and out
- Cleaning and sanitizing runs, walk ways & yards.
- Janitorial: taking out the garbage, sweeping, mopping, cleaning laundry and restocking supplies as needed
- inside and outside duties
- cleaning up after pets
- Providing top of the line care to the boarding and daycare guests.
- Being a reliable and responsible employee.
- Ability to multitask.
- Speaking with clients and coworkers in a professional manor
- Answering phones, taking reservations, and learning booking system
- Ability to write instructions/administer medications.
- Making clients feel welcomed and comfortable
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
