Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)

Job Summary
The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) will provide psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, medication management, and treatment planning for adolescents residing in our group home and receiving services through our behavioral health programs. The PMHNP works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including therapists, case managers, nurses, and support staff to ensure holistic, trauma-informed care for youth.

Duties

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments for adolescent clients.
• Develop individualized treatment and medication plans based on best clinical practices.
• Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications, monitoring for efficacy and side effects.
• Provide regular follow-up visits for medication management and therapeutic support.
• Collaborate with therapists, physicians, and other care team members to coordinate care.
• Participate in treatment team meetings and contribute to interdisciplinary case planning.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation in compliance with agency, state, and Medicaid standards.
• Educate clients and families about diagnoses, medications, and treatment options.
• Respond to psychiatric crises and provide clinical support as needed.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other applicable laws and regulations.

Experience

• Minimum of 1 year experience working with adolescents in behavioral health settings preferred.

Work Environment

• Combination of in-person work at the group home(s) and outpatient clinic.
• May require occasional travel between sites.
• Flexible scheduling options may be available.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60.00 - $75.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 10 per week
