What are the responsibilities and job description for the Irrigation Installer position at Oheil Irrigation?
Oheil Irrigation is one of the leading irrigation contractors in Ohio with over 40 years of serving the southwest Ohio area. We are currently seeking Irrigation Technicians to join our team! This position will supervise team members and manage the successful installation of irrigation systems. Irrigation experience is required to be eligible for hire. Starting pay will depend on experience.
Responsibilities
- Managing all irrigation installation projects, including the coordination of all materials, people, equipment, and subcontractors required to produce quality work.
- Providing day-to-day operational operations and guidance for the branch’s irrigation projects. Must be able to complete job within hours provided.
- Training and developing of team members (including proper operation of equipment, techniques, safety guidelines, and quality standards)
- Ensuring safety protocols are being followed by team members.
- Performing hands-on work with crews to meet work and scheduling demands as needed.
- Using hand tools, power tools and/or equipment to perform irrigation installation projects.
- Ensuring equipment and tools are properly maintained, stored, and used.
- Documenting materials as needed and reporting to office staff.
- Other relevant job duties as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in irrigation installation
- Knowledge of blueprints
- Knowledge of all aspects of irrigation and installation best practices
- Customer service and client-focused
- Collaborative and team-focused leader
- Valid Driver’s License and ability to clear Motor Vehicle Record check
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
- Must be able and willing to work for long periods of time outside (in extreme temperatures and direct sunlight)
- Must be able and willing to bend, stoop, and twist repeatedly throughout the day
- Must be able to use hand tools and power equipment including Pipe Puller, Trencher and must be able to bore
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Pay: $20.00 per hour
