Job Overview
We are seeking Construction Foremen to join our team! The ideal candidate will have experience in various aspects of construction, earth moving and landscaping. Experience is preferred but we will provide on-the-job training to those you wish to gain experience and grow their careers in this field! This job involves on-the-road travel during the workweek but you will be home on the weekends. Areas of operation usually consist of Ohio and Kentucky locations. Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of construction tasks including heavy equipment operation, earth moving, drainage, concrete installation, landscaping, turf installation, demolition and more
- Managing Crews: Coordinating construction workers and subcontractors and ensuring they are properly trained
- Ensuring Safety: Ensuring safety rules and regulations and ensuring site is secure
- Quality Control: Ensuring work meets quality standards and design specifications
- Schedule Management: Creating schedules, monitoring progress and ensuring work is completed on schedule
- Problem solving: Finding practical solutions to issues that may arise
- Communication: Liaising with clients, architects and subcontractors
- Inspection: Inspecting construction work, equipment, and sites to ensure safety and specifications are met
- Planning: Reading specifications, such as blueprints, to determine requirements and plan procedures
- Opening and Closing Job Site: Ensuring the site is ready and accessible for inspectors and subcontractors
Preferred Experience
- Proven experience in a variety of construction tasks is a plus
- Heavy machine operating skills is a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
