What are the responsibilities and job description for the Revenue Cycle Associate position at Ohel Children's Home and Family Services?
Ohel is seeking a qualified Revenue Cycle Associate to join the Fiscal department.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with billing processes to optimize revenue
- Promote timely billing through collaboration with external and internal providers
- Verify insurance and registration data in EMR system
- Work directly with insurance companies, healthcare providers and patients to get a claim processed and paid in a timely matter
- Appeal pending and denied claims
- Posting EOBs electronically via ERA or manually
- Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company guidelines
- Report payment discrepancies to OMIG and respective insurance plans
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent follow up skills who can work independently as well as within a team. Knowledge of OPWDD and OMH billing regulations, as well as experience using HHA Exchange a plus. Successful candidate should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and be detail oriented. Must have excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office. This full time position can be based in Brooklyn, NY or Teaneck, NJ and includes a competitive benefits package.
