Community Support Professional - Bangor, Maine
The position involves the support of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities who are living semi-independently in the community.
About the role:
The CSP is responsible for teaching daily living, communication, and work skills, administering medications and first aid, providing safe transportation, assisting with, or coordinating medical and other support service appointments, maintaining accurate and detailed documentation and records, safeguarding the money and personal resources of people supported, and implementing the philosophy, policies, and procedures of OHI.
What qualifications or qualities do you need to be successful?
- High school diploma/GED
- Valid drivers license
- Positive, can-do attitude, team player with a strong work ethic
- Customer service focus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A strong commitment to OHI values and achievement of goals
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive information with discretion
