What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Attorney General- Antitrust position at Ohio Attorney General's Office?
The Ohio Attorney General’s Office, Antitrust Section is currently seeking an experienced, licensed attorney looking for a new challenge to join its team. The Antitrust Section works to ensure that citizens and local governments alike can operate within a fair and competitive marketplace by enforcing state and federal antitrust laws.
To further that mission our Antitrust Assistant Attorneys General investigate anticompetitive conduct in both established and cutting-edge markets and litigate matters in both state and federal court. Our attorneys closely monitor emerging industry trends; provide antitrust trainings at local and national levels; and often collaborate on matters with local and multistate teams. The section provides attorneys a unique opportunity to work on complex cases requiring attorneys with perseverance and the ability to cooperate due to the scope of the cases that often cover complex subjects.
The successful candidate will be a problem solver eager to learn new things and work cooperatively in a team.
This position will work primarily in-person. A hybrid in-person schedule may be available but is subject to change subject to operational needs. The headquarter location is 30 E. Broad St., Columbus.

Minimum Qualifications
- Licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio pursuant to Section 4705.01 of the Ohio Revised Code; OR pending results of Ohio Bar examination (or, if licensed elsewhere ability to obtain an Ohio license within 6 months)
- A minimum of 2 years of legal experience in commercial and/or complex litigation
- Deposition experience
- E-discovery experience/knowledge
- Experience in negotiations
- Strong research, writing and communication skills
- Good judgement
- Team player comfortable working in teams across organizations
