What are the responsibilities and job description for the College Intern - Field Safety Services Process Improvement Intern (20083456) position at Ohio BWC (official)?
BWC is currently operating under a hybrid schedule that may incorporate both teleworking and in-person office hours. Employees must be able to report to the office when requested by management &/or for their initial job training.
What You’ll Be Doing
A maximum of 29 hours per week. The schedule is flexible and will fall between the hours of 8am-5pm, Monday - Friday.
Qualifications
Must currently be enrolled in a higher education program. Majors expected to be most relevant include Occupational Safety and Health, Risk Management, Industrial Hygiene, Ergonomics or Engineering.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Works with BWC Tech Advisors to assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of strategic projects aimed at operational improvements and quality of consultative work products;
- Assists and observes in field consultations with BWC customers, Safety Intervention Grant assessments and Safety Council Meetings to gain exposure to all 3 Field Safety Services functional disciplines and methodology (Safety, Industrial Hygiene and Ergonomics);
- Assists in maintaining comprehensive documentation of project plans, processes and outcomes.
