Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer and or Operator to join our team. This role is ideal for a skilled professional confident in programming, setting up, and operating vertical CNC mills, CNC lathes, and mill-turn machines in a fast-paced job shop environment. The ideal candidate excels at independently creating setups for limited production runs (1–10 pieces) and has a strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
Responsibilities:
- Program, set up, and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, mill-turn).
- Create setups and troubleshoot without pre-made fixtures for most parts.
- Program using SolidWorks 2024 and VISI Cam 2024.
- Interpret blueprints and GD&T with precision tolerances of /- 0.0002.
- Develop and edit programs to meet specific project requirements.
- Design and fabricate fixtures, soft jaws, and CAD models for new programs.
- Utilize and maintain analog measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and comparators.
- Work on multiple projects daily, adhering to deadlines and quality standards.
- Leverage experience with Mazatrol and Y-axis live tooling lathes (a plus).
Requirements:
- Minimum of [X years] experience in CNC programming and machining.
- Proficiency with SolidWorks 2024 and VISI Cam 2024.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Experience working in a job shop environment is preferred.
- In-depth understanding of GD&T and the ability to interpret blueprints.
