What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ohio CAT Service Supervisor position at Ohio CAT?
The Service Supervisor will lead the branch service shop and yard to ensure an efficient, safe, and profitable operation. This individual will work daily in the shops, overseeing technicians and providing coaching, development, and training for them. In addition, the Service Supervisor will also keep up to date with manufacturer warranties and policies and monitor the progress of repairs and service. The position will work closely with other supervisors to ensure the successful growth of all technicians.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Five years of industry experience.
- Five years supervisory experience.
- Knowledge and understanding of heavy equipment.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Proven experience working closely with internal and external customers.
- Ability to lead and motivate employees.
- Self-directed, personable, and service-oriented with technical aptitudes.
- Self-motivated, organized.
- Mature and possess sound business understanding.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the job duties, the supervisor is occasionally required to sit, push, pull, and balance. Frequently required to stand, walk, bend, squat, knee, balance, and use hand to finger, feel, or operate objects. Occasionally, heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.) is required. Driving motor vehicles and heavy equipment is occasionally required. Climbing stairs and ladders is occasionally required. Hand-eye coordination is necessary to operate equipment. Specific visual abilities required of this job include close vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
