Maintenance Skilled

Performs minor and major repair of buildings and equipment, performs preventive maintenance and quality audits appropriately, performs grounds upkeep which may include debris and/or snow removal, participates in safety checks, procedures – i.e. fire drills, exit lights, etc. Assists with renovation projects which may require plaster, drywall, painting, moving equipment, etc and collaborates with other departments as such projects occur. Responds to emergency situations as requested. Performs routine maintenance requests as submitted by outside departments. Performs upkeep and record keeping of systems for which skill set employee has. Reports to the Facilities/Maintenance manager and keeps the manager informed of issues encountered. Other duties may be assigned. May be requested to be member of QI team. Frequently accesses email to stay up to date on information within the organization and provides a way of communication between staff members.  Performs all procedures according to established policies and procedures of OCH and adheres to legal compliance policies and other regulatory issues.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

General maintenance experience, preferably in a healthcare setting. Has a skill set which includes any of the following: electricity, HVAC, plumbing.
