Hybrid Work Details
Subject to DCYs teleworking policy and an approved teleworking agreement, this position is eligible to work from a remote location on a hybrid basis. The selected applicant may be required to complete initial trainings prior to being eligible to telework. All requests to telework are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and must be approved by DCY’s Deputy Director of Human Resources and management, subject to the conditions outlined in the agency policy and teleworking agreement.
Key Responsibilities
- Help the team leading the design, development, and deployment of Salesforce solutions.
- Collaborate with business analysts, team members and other stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Performs impacts analyses to identify interdependencies; assists with design reviews.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to developers and other team members.
- Ensure best practices in design, coding, and development processes are followed.
- Perform code reviews and ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Able to work on multiple projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Coordinates execution of unit and system test scripts; coordinates debugging efforts and defect tracking; coordinates support of user acceptance testing; Supports performance and load testing efforts.
- Writes, reviews and coordinates development of application related training materials and software user guides; program and/or application source code documentation (e.g., uses cases, in-line code comments); departmental standards.

- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Salesforce applications.

- Proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and other Salesforce technologies.
- Experience with Omni Studio.
- Experience with integration tools (e.g., MuleSoft, Informatica) and APIs.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD (Flosum/ Copado etc.) and version control systems.
- Understanding of Salesforce’s data model and how and when to create custom objects, junction objects, and other model items.
- Familiarity with Salesforce data tools and ETL tools.
- Experience with software development principles and methods for design, development, testing, and implementation of new or modified software;
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills and attention to detail.
- Or completion of associate core program in computer science or information systems; 42 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: providing solutions design, developing project plans with project manager or recommending approach through defining tasks and/or leading meetings relating to programs for computer applications including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology as specified by the agency position description & job posting.
- Or completion of undergraduate core program in computer science or information systems; 36 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: providing solutions design, developing project plans with project manager or recommending approach through defining tasks and/or leading meetings relating to programs for computer applications including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology as specified by the agency position description & job posting.
- Or equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above.
