Job Overview
This position will require travel throughout Ohio, some of which will include overnight stays.
As the County Engagement Manager in the Office of Operations, Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM), your responsibilities will include:
- Develop and maintain relationships between ODM and county JFS offices
- Maintain communication with CDJFS by attending in-person & virtual meetings
- Provide strategic oversight of CDJFS’ Medicaid eligibility health care delivery operations (e.g., application processing, eligibility system business requirements, customer experience services levels, workforce management/planning) through county engagement and evaluation
- Analyze data from various reports and ascertain analysis of the data
- Ensure CDJFS’ compliance with Medicaid eligibility rules, policies, and procedures
- Conduct business needs assessment of Southwest engagement region (eligibility policy training, system training, and eligibility system needs).
- Develop and implement policies and procedures governing the delivery of Medicaid eligibility health care services administered by CDJFS to Ohio’s Medicaid population.
- Evaluate the need to revise related Medicaid eligibility policies and procedures.
- Respond to sensitive inquiries and contacts from ODM Leadership, Ohio Job and Family Services Directors’ Association, sister-state agencies, public and government officials
- Develop and deliver presentations to state and county agencies, community and advocacy groups, and stakeholder associations.
- Develop and monitor evaluation process for CDJFS operational changes.
- Collaborate with CDJFS to achieve high service levels and integrate quality improvement approaches to streamline county eligibility operations.
- Plan and direct CDJFS health care service quality improvement initiatives
- Or 12 months experience has Medicaid Health Systems Specialist, 65293,
- Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above may be substituted for the experience required, but not for the mandated licensure.
