What You’ll Do At OhioMHAS
Unless required by any applicable union contract and/or requirements of the Ohio Revised Code, the selected candidate will begin at Step 1 of the pay range schedule listed above, with an opportunity for pay increase after six months of satisfactory performance and then a yearly raise thereafter.
Completion of associate core coursework in secretarial science or business office applications from accredited career school or community college; 12 mos. exp. in secretarial/administrative professional field.
Official transcripts are required for all post-secondary education, coursework, or degrees listed on the application. Applicants must submit an official transcript before receiving a formal employment offer. Failure to provide transcripts within five (5) business days of the request will result in disqualification from further consideration. Transcripts printed from the institution’s website will not be accepted. OhioMHAS reserves the right to evaluate the academic validity of the degree-granting institution.

- Serves as a liaison between the QM Director, staff, and supporting functions (e.g., Peer Review, Performance/Process Improvement); communicates decisions and directives; represents the QM Director at meetings and on committees as assigned. Assists in managing local and regional psychiatric hospital data (e.g., restraint episodes) using Excel, including graphing functions; develops performance improvement team charters; supports planning and organizing the annual Patient Safety Fairs for staff and patients..
- Manages the hospital’s patient safety program product list and updates emergency intervention databases.
- Performs public relations duties: research & respond to verbal & written inquiries & complaints; provide information & explanation of various hospital programs to general public, concerned citizens, consumers & their families; deliver presentations; performs other duties as assigned.
