What You’ll Do At OhioMHAS
Serves as an essential member of the Mahoning County Intensive Treatment Team (ITT) & independently develops & implements treatment plans for clients, coordinating admissions, assessment & evaluations: participates in the development of client service plans, mental health assessments, & coordinates admissions; completes initial diagnostic assessments; assesses client condition focusing on strengths & needs; teaches & develops client independent living skill to maximize potential (e.g., medication monitoring, progress notes, crisis management, coping with symptoms, substance abuse); develops service goals in collaboration with clients, families & team members; implements service in accordance with individual service plan; assists client in accessing community resources; evaluates clients progress toward goals, recommends service revisions as progress toward goals determine; provide individual counseling per individualized service plan; maintains productivity hours per month according to quarterly target assigned by Team Director.
Participates in process of establishing, implementing & directing behavioral healthcare programs & treatment system objectives; develops & designs treatment intervention techniques & procedures; evaluates & modifies treatment systems to be responsive to client's progress & ability to change behavior; maintains necessary data documents to satisfy requirements of federal, state & local agencies & by Team Director; facilitates family involvement in client’s support system.
Serves as an active member of treatment teams & performs other duties as needed or assigned to enhance client care services: attends treatment team meetings for Mahoning County clients being discharged; perform assessments & intakes at NBH as needed; documents results of treatment team meetings & assessments & submits to Mental Health Board for reimbursement; attend training sessions, department procedure meetings & policy review meetings; establishes & maintains working relationship with other facilities, agencies & support services in order to coordinate referrals; conduct follow-up services; responds to client’s families regarding services offered & provided by treatment team; encourages family involvement in supporting client goals through family contact; assist clients in establishing family contact as requested & warranted; utilize OhioMHAS approved office productivity software, intra- & internet resources & information systems in an appropriate work related manner as specified in the NBH Personal Computer Usage Guidelines for Employees.
This is an hourly position covered by the Ohio Health Care SEIU/1199 bargaining unit (union), with a pay range of #10 on the Ohio Health Care SEIU/1199 Pay Range Schedule. Normal working hours are Monday - Friday, 1st Shift 8:00 am - 4:40 pm. This position is located within our Mahoning CSN in Mahoning County.
Unless required by any applicable union contract and/or requirements of the Ohio Revised Code, the selected candidate will begin at Step 1 of the pay range schedule listed above, with an opportunity for pay increase after six months of satisfactory performance and then a yearly raise thereafter.
Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor II (LCDC II) by Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board.

- Or Licensed Social Worker (LSW) by Ohio Counselor, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy Board.
- Or Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (MFT) by the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy Board.
- Or Licensed Registered Nurse with practice specialty certificate in Mental Health or Psychiatric Nursing as issued by Ohio Board of Nursing.
- Or Licensed Registered Nurse by Ohio Board of Nursing plus completion of Masters degree in Psychology or other mental health related field.
- Or Licensed Registered Nurse by Ohio Board of Nursing plus completion of Masters degree in Nursing with a Mental Health of Psychiatric Nursing concentrate.
