OhioMHAS Values
Primary Point of Contact for Admissions:
- Conducts admission interviews, collects patient data, completes admission paperwork, inventories patients’ valuables, property and clothing,
- Notifies appropriate staff of the admission and status of the admissions process
- Creates initial unit chart for patients, retrieves previous patient records
- Logs admissions data and distributes reports, compiles medical record reports and legal material for filing in unit charts
- Retrieves charts: removes completed forms, inserts blank forms, and updates main record
- Daily responsible for checking assigned charts for needed material and completeness.
- Under direction of the unit nurse trains patients to function independently in daily living skills.
- Follows Individual Treatment Plans to institute appropriate patient behaviors and mitigate of prevent crises
- Escorts patients to scheduled appointments and group activities and ensures participation
- Takes vitals, delivers meal trays, conducts rounds and supervises patients 1:1
- Compiles medical record charts, inputs information into the Hospital’s Information System (Patient Care System PCS)
- Creates daily census reports and track daily unit movement.
- Analyzes Unit charts for deficiencies and reports to leadership for remediation
- Enters data into appropriate tracking systems.
