Unless required by any applicable union contract and/or requirements of the Ohio Revised Code, the selected candidate will begin at Step 1 of the pay range schedule listed above, with an opportunity for pay increase after six months of satisfactory performance and then a yearly raise thereafter.
License to practice psychology as issued by Ohio State Board of Psychology per Section 4732.12 or 4732.15 (A) of Ohio Revised Code.

- Independently provides psychological services through direct patient contact: conducts psychological &/or neuropsychological evaluations & assessments of severe & persistent mentally ill patients (i.e., acute, geriatric, forensic, adolescent, MI/MR, SAMI.), administers, scores, & interprets psychological tests (e.g., intellectual, personality, forensic..) & writes psychological testing reports, reviews pre-admission & pre-treatment data, conducts interviews & writes treatment plans, provides clinical support & instruction to graduate students & support staff, evaluates treatment plans developed & quality of service rendered by others, assists supervisor in program development & conducts research on psychological treatment & assessment, organizes psychological services & programs with emphasis placed on forensic issues & services including conducting competency evaluations, restoration to competency processes, forensic risk assessments, malingering, among others.
- Conducts psychotherapeutic sessions: provides advice & consultation to patients & their families, provides psychological interventions & treatments to patients, conducts individual & group counseling & psychotherapy, follows up on treatment & writes progress reports, document treatment & therapeutic contacts with patients in accordance with requirements of accrediting agencies.
- Participates in program development: provides input & organizes activities in programs as developed, provides staff training & development opportunities in relevant areas, including reduction of violence & therapeutic interaction, among others.
- Consultant on psychological matters: attends & participates as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team, provides psychological expertise in patient management & treatment planning, participates in hospital projects including committee work, research, & special assignments, prepares written materials & presents staff development in-service training programs in field of expertise. Provides clinical information and opinions to court systems through testimony.
