OhioMHAS Values
- Assists in monitoring status of individuals presently waiting of a regional psychiatric hospital (RPH) bed after an order from the court.
- Collaboration with jail mental health staff, assess for changes in acuity that could move client higher on priority waitlist.
- Travel to jails as needed to meet with those awaiting RPH beds, collect information from jail mental health staff and liaison between jail staff and RPH staff.
- Participate in process of establishing, implementing & evaluating treatment system's goals and objectives.
- Performs individual, family or group intervention (e.g., counseling, testing & education of the client).
- Assess clients progress towards competency restoration and competency to stand trial.
- Develops intervention goals & objectives designed to give education & resolve clients problems in functioning.
- Interviews clients & client's family to establish case goals & objectives.
- Assesses clients & determines specific intervention techniques for clients & monitors client's responses to treatment systems & provides feedback on effectiveness of prescribed treatment.
- Complete and maintain necessary documentation/records to satisfy federal, state, and local agencies and accrediting bodies. Document all findings and actions according to RPH, OhioMHAS, and DAS policies.
- Establish and maintain working relationships with other facilities, agencies, and support services in order to coordinate referrals and follow up.
