What You Will Do…
- Communication expert and media contact for the Wildlife District One office and 13 counties in central Ohio.
- Writes press releases and other promotional materials, develops presentations and conducts radio and on camera interviews.
- Conducts a variety of wildlife education and information programs for schools, conservation clubs, and external groups.
- Conducts workshops for educators including Project WILD and WILD School Sites and is the primary point of contact for educational curriculum and materials including educational trunks.
- Designs and sets up educational displays and promotional displays for large scale Expo events, conferences, and county fairs.
- Starting hourly pay of $24.66/hr with multiple pay increases over your first 5.5 years of service, with an end salary of $32.08/hr.
- Or completion of undergraduate core program in wildlife education or fish &/or wildlife management; 6 mos. trg. or 6 mos. exp. in wildlife education or fish &/or wildlife management; 1 course or 3 mos. exp. in public relations.
- Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
