Ohio Department of Public Safety – BMV Investigations Parma
Report in location: 12000 Snow Road, Suite 15, Parma, Ohio 44130
Work Days and hours would vary between: Monday - Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm depending on student’s schedule.
This is an ongoing internship located in Parma, OH. The selected candidate will ideally be able to work throughout the school year and summer, for an average of 20 hours per week or less (with flexibility during the school semesters given class schedule and course load).
The pay rate for a college intern is based upon the students' academic status:
Undergraduate student rate of pay - $16.93 per hour
Graduate student rate of pay - $20.59 per hour

- Conducting investigations regarding:
- Odometer tampering
- Odometer fraud
- Title jumping
- Title fraud
- Selling without legal title
- Failure to deliver title
- Forgeries & falsifications
- Selling motor vehicles without licenses
- Illegally obtained driver licenses
- License plates
- Vehicle registrations
- Identification cards
- Other areas as deems necessary
- Assisting the Investigator Assistant with job related tasks pertaining to the dealer industry and maintaining compliance
- Perform other related duties as required
Employment Requirements (all must be verified upon hire)
To be eligible for an internship opportunity at the Ohio Department of Public Safety, an applicant must:
- Be currently enrolled in an accredited college/university.
- Be in good standing with the college/university.
- Have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0.
- Be enrolled in at least one course.
- Be pursuing a degree or finishing a degree.
