This position works under direction and requires considerable knowledge of inventory control and agency storeroom or
warehouse procedures in order to supervisor storeroom and/or warehouse.
- Supervises storeroom and/or warehouse employees and inmates
- Receives, inspects, stores, and distributes stock, supplies and/or equipment
- Develops, implements and enforces storeroom or warehouse procedures
- Recognizes unusual or threatening conditions (e.g., chemical storage)
- Assigns and reviews, schedules deliveries and oversees preparation and maintenance of shipping
- Maintains accurate receiving and inventory records
- Reviews, approves and/or disapproves request for leave and overtime
- Oversees inventory of and approves orders for supplies and/or equipment
- Ensures clean, proper and safe storage of materials
- Trains employee and inmate workers in storeroom or warehouse operations
- Evaluates condition of equipment in order to determine whether to reuse or salvage
- Monitors warehouse temperature and humidity and refrigerator temperature to ensure proper storage materials
- Verifies changes in orders and/or validates inventory discrepancies
- Prepares and completes performance evaluations
- Sits on institution committees
- Responds to inmate grievances
- Or 6 mos. exp. as Storekeeper 2, 14742. If assigned to operate vehicles regulated by Section 4506.01 of Revised Code, applicants must also have commercial driver's license.
- Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
