Experience
- At least three (3) years of experience as an executive-level leader with responsibility for facilities including physical assets, maintenance, supply chain, support services, cemetery and grounds.
- Completion of undergraduate core program in business or public administration, behavioral or social science, or a related field. Graduate degree preferred.
- Experience in continuous improvement, inspection, and assessment of physical plant operations, and regulatory understanding and application of survey guidance.
- Experience in healthcare, direct and indirect supervision, departmental budgets, project administration, etc.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Manages assigned OVH departments and services, with principal executive responsibility for all OVH campuses including physical assets, plant operations, maintenance, supply chain, support services, buildings and grounds, and cemetery operations.
- Manages OVH policy & procedure program in collaboration with Superintendent (and designees), including developing, implementing, updating, & reviewing all OVH departmental policies, procedures, rules, regulations, directives, work instructions, & standards of practice.
- Prepares and manages budgets of assigned departments; reports OVH budget execution & resource allocation in relation to DVS objectives & priorities to Superintendent.
- Works in conjunction with DVS departments (Human Resources, Fiscal, MIT, Legal, Compliance, Communications, etc.) to ensure that all OVH operations are properly maintained and compliant with internal goals and survey requirements.
- Supports Nursing Home and Domiciliary administrators in developing and implementing internal plans focusing on ODH & VA survey criteria & OVH’s readiness & compliance; Ensures internal audits/verifications are conducted periodically to effectively communicate any regulatory needs and review results with OVH staff for correction, & compliance.
- Monitors OVH safety concerns related to resident & employee safety by communicating with Administrators, Safety & Health Program Consultant, OVH Health & Safety Committee, developing &or reviewing safety policies & procedures
- Leads assigned staff to ensure facilities & systems of operations are continuously inspected, assessed, reviewed, & addressed to avoid disrepair or failure; ensures requests for repair, remodeling, &/or replacement occur timely between OVH Facilities Department & DVS Fiscal Department with awareness of submission deadlines for departmental budgets, capital projects, purchasing, contracts, grants, etc.
