Key Responsibilities:

Utilize knowledge of manufacturing machinery, engineering practices, mathematics, and building materials to create accurate and detailed drawings for structures and products.

Provide clear, complete documentation in drawings, showing dimensions, material specifications, and other necessary details.

Develop bills of materials, material take-offs, and ensure proper tolerance and dimensioning, including welding and manufacturing symbols.

Maintain accuracy in documenting engineering changes, revisions, and updates to drawings, bills of materials, and related documents.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, operations, project managers, manufacturing, logistics, and suppliers) to resolve any product-related issues or discrepancies in a timely manner.

Participate in product strategy and development, offering recommendations for improvements in cost, delivery, and quality based on engineering drawings and production feedback.

Communicate project-specific information with account and project managers to ensure alignment on timelines, budgets, and customer expectations.

Qualifications:

Education: A 2- or 4-year degree in engineering, drafting/design, or a technical field is required.

Experience: Experience with metals, welding symbols, and manufacturing processes is preferred.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD 2007, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Epicor, SolidWorks, Bluebeam, and experience with MRP/ERP systems is required.
