As a Forklift Mechanic, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of our forklift fleet. Your expertise will contribute directly to the success of our operations and the satisfaction of our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair various makes and models of forklifts, including Combi and other material handling equipment (MHE).
- Perform preventative maintenance and maintain detailed service records.
- Inspect forklifts and equipment for OSHA compliance and operational safety.
- Maintain parts inventory and manage repair documentation.
- Ensure a clean and organized service area.
- Communicate effectively with team members about equipment issues or abuse.
- Use manuals and diagnostic tools to repair engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience repairing forklifts, pallet jacks, or hydraulic lifts.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, with knowledge of hydraulic systems and internal combustion engines.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and using diagnostic tools.
- Ability to lift up to 125 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Commitment to safety and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently or in a team in a fast-paced environment.
