ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Combi and other forklifts, pallet jacks, and hydraulic lifts, ensuring they operate at peak performance. Regular oil changes, brake replacements, and hydraulic hose repairs will be performed as part of routine maintenance. You will approach each maintenance task with passion, ensuring that every piece of equipment is safe, reliable, and performs optimally.

Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance (PMs), including oil changes, brake changes, hydraulic hose replacements, and inspecting fluid levels. Keeping accurate records of completed tasks reflects your commitment to honoring our commitments and ensures we deliver safe and reliable equipment to meet customer needs.

Identify and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems. Use diagnostic tools and repair manuals to troubleshoot engines, transmission systems, fuel systems, and other components. Perform regular safety inspections of material handling equipment to ensure compliance with OSHA standards and operational requirements. Maintain accurate parts inventory and repair records for all equipment. You’ll order parts when necessary and ensure the workshop is stocked with the materials needed for repairs. EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE, AND PROFICIENCIES:
- Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 3 years of experience in the repair and maintenance of industrial forklifts, pallet jacks, and material handling equipment (MHE). Experience with hydraulics is preferred.
- Skills: Good mechanical and electrical aptitude, knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems, and the ability to read and understand schematics.
- Preferred: Technical degree in a mechanical field or experience with lift truck repair and welding. Proficient in using computers for work orders, inventory management, and maintenance records.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 125lbs, perform detailed repair work, and follow safety protocols.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Environment: You'll work in a workshop and warehouse environment, where you'll be exposed to noise, dust, and various environmental conditions. PPE is required for your safety.
