SUMMARY: A Maintenance Electrician will support the Ohio Gratings operation through properly maintaining electrical systems of the various tools and equipment to effectively troubleshoot-repair-install-commission electrical systems. Maintenance and repair of all aspects of manufacturing equipment, machinery, automated production lines, buildings/facilities, and material handling equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- · The maintenance electrician will mainly be in charge of electrical troubleshooting and repair on press-related machinery.
- · Mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic troubleshooting and repair on press related machinery
- · Installs and repairs electrical wiring, systems.
- · Wiring and conduit bending according to blueprints.
- · PLC troubleshooting of Allen Bradley Studio 5000 (knowledge of Siemens Step 7 and Beckhoff is an added plus).
- · Maintenance of power units, pumps, accumulators, directional valves, pressure relief valves, Hydraulic motors, cylinders and pipe bending.
- · Maintenance involving clutches, brakes, gear trains, couplings, gibs, bearings, splines, pulley/gear reductions as related to presses, tappers, mills, lathes, drill presses, and general facilities. -Simple fabrications (brackets, gussets, platforms
- · Installs circuit breakers and other electrical hardware and connects wiring to them.
- · Connects electrical systems to powerlines to provide electricity to the building.
- · Tests electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation.
- · Inspects electrical systems to determine whether repairs are needed.
- · Will also change bearings, sprockets, chains, troubleshooting pneumatics, hydraulics, motors, valves, sensors, pumps, machine realignments, conveyors etc.
- · Replaces circuit breakers as needed.
- · Performs other related duties as assigned.
- · Meets or exceeds all key performance indicators (KPIs).
- · Shares in idea generation to improve output or efficiency to meet or exceed standards.

EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE, AND PROFICIENCIES:
- · 5 years industrial or manufacturing related work experience
- · Press maintenance experience
- · Must have a strong knowledge of electrical maintenance to include 480V and 3 phase motors
- · Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring.
- · Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding.
- · Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits.
- · Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
- · Extensive understanding of electrical networking and control systems
- · Understanding of PLC controlled production lines
- · Must be able to read ladder logic and read the inputs/outs in the logic
- · Experience reading electrical/electronic schematics
- · Welding experience is a plus
- · Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and wiring.
- · Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
- · Proficient in the use of test meters and other diagnostic equipment.
- · Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
