Under general supervision and request of the Chairman, works with section Directors, staff, claimants, attorneys and employer's representatives.
- Directs requests from the state legislature to proper sources.
- Follows up on such requests.
- Serves as a liaison between the Chairman and section Directors and transmits decisions and directives.
- Completes research to aid the Commissioners and Chairman.
- Develops and administers special projects on behalf of the Chairman.
- Analyzes and evaluates programs, procedures and policies; provides reports to the Chairman.
- Compiles weekly reports from various Industrial Commission departments.
- Coordinates meetings, communications, and multimedia activities among departments and various locations.
- Develops and compiles departmental annual reports and agency-wide reports for the Administration Division.
- Attends, records, and prepares executive summaries of high level strategic inter-departmental meetings.
- Reviews and researches claims where complaints have risen over difficult issues.
- Works with IC Directors and BWC personnel in order to resolve claim issues.
- Responds and coordinates responses to complaints from various sources.
- Explains the Workers' Compensation program to individuals.
- Reviews statement of facts and summarizes issues of permanent and total disability.
- Completion of undergraduate core program in business administration, management science or public administration; 12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. in supervisory, administrative &/or managerial position which involved limited research & public contact.
- Or completion of undergraduate core program in academic field commensurate with program area to be assigned per approved Position Description on file; 12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. in supervisory, administrative, managerial &/or staff position which involved limited research & public contact.
- Or 36 mos. trg. or 36 mos. exp. in business administration, management science or public administration.
- Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
